Over the 4th of July weekend, we were out surfing in our new-used wakesetter with the wedge deployed. At one point we felt the boat hit something and After swimming under and inspecting the prop/rudder and wedge, we couldn't find anything noticeably damaged. After that, we surfed a little while longer, then raised the wedge/drained the ballast and took off for another part of the lake. We ended up surfing some more later that day. When it came time to head in for the night, we couldn't get the wedge to raise back up. So we hopped back in to take another look at it, and we found that the plastic "eyelets" on the tops of each of the actuators had pulled through the pins that hold them in place.

After filing a warranty claim with Malibu, (just out of curiosity and not really expecting anything to become of it) 2 brand new actuators show up at the house 2 weeks later. We are very impressed with Malibu helping us out on this BTW. So I guess what I'm trying to get to is, what all does it take to install these? Mounting them looks pretty straight forward, but running the wires thru the hull while keeping it watertight looks like it might be kind of tricky. We would take it to a dealer, but our local Malibu shop is pretty much swamped and can't take a look at it until mid august.

Also, there is absolutely no visible damage to the prop/rudder/wedge, not even a scratch. However, we want to make sure we didn't tweak the shaft or prop just a little bit. What is the best way to make sure the prop/shaft isn't tweaked?
