At least that's what the salesman kept saying! LOL

First pic is the stbd flair showing panel compression between #1 strake, through #2 and into the chine.

Second is the same panel port side.
Still bad but no where near as bad as the stbd.
I feel sorry for the owner but at least he has got the right salesman on the job. How about this quote? "Well this guy walked but that's OK, most people wont survey this boat" Meaning, now he knows he aint gonna tell! He should selling used Buick's.

Interesting anomaly though. As a full liner boat I cannot inspect the interior without a saw. Because percussion sounding revealed no laminate failures or gel cracks I think it was born this way. Also the panel deflection is loading off two hard points fore and aft lending credence to a lack of stiffness.
My guess is the liner offers poor support to this panel section along with the hull being pulled from the mold too hot and too soon. Perfect storm of mediocre craftsmanship. The hull joint looked like crap as well. Pretty boat though, good hardware, nice layout, sophisticated hull shape etc etc.

That looks terrible. Purely cosmetic my arse although it looks like those imperfections in the chine are far enough forward that they might not touch the water. Then again while turning they might. What boat is it?

Its a bow rider sport boat that runs > 60 MPH and is supposed to look like a Cobalt. The hull section stbd is actually concave by 1/2" where it should actually be that much proud.
It will eventually fail from hinging off the hard points.
It also could make the bow do sketchy stuff at high speeds.

I am astounded that the manufacturer continued to assemble the hull after it came out of the mould like that.
Take $10,000 off the price just for that so that it can be fixed well when the cracks start to show up.
Regardless, it is not a boat I would ever spend any time looking at, and I might quit looking at that brand.
