Jordan - I realized that after I typed it, just felt like being a smart a$$! ha!

Dahmsy - I am already super stoked with the mileage. From around 18 to 35, I am in heaven. I got the tint done today at Tire Proz in Stillwater. They hooked me up with the wheels as well. Stoked on how it turned out. On my old truck (Nick's new truck) I had 20% all around. The truck was red. Since this car is white, I decided to go with 35% and I thought it would be lighter than this but it turned out super slick because of the contrast.

Jay in a drysuit, g/f without - what's wrong with this picture?
Old     (ironj32)      Join Date: Jan 2007       04-07-2010, 7:26 PM Reply
hahahahah........

Actually I had every intention of just wearing a wetsuit, however, when I went to pull things outta the hatch I realized that I had forgotten my vest! So, it was either go in a full wetsuit with no vest, or just go in the dry-suit.

get some neoprene booties...they work wonders! they're like $20-$25 from MWMC.

Neoprene booties are the ticket. Bryce - what size boots do you wear? I'll bring my board out Saturday if you want to take a set. Closed toes size 9-10

Great weekend guys.

The X-Star was SLUMPED on Saturday - 4k ballast + 10 people + Fletcher = OH MY!

Thanks for dragging us around yesterday Will. Such a nice day on the water - the wake on the Tige was MACKIN. Can't wait to ride. My toe is actually feeling better already today - I should be riding again later in the week.

Jason - thanks for putting me out at 85 feet for my first set of the year behind the biggest wake I've ever seen. Made for a great combo!

BTW, I became an Inland Surfer dealer this year. So, if anyone is in the need for a new wakesurf board, send me a PM. I also have a 2009 CWB Tsunami that I'm willing to part with.

Today I de-winterized my Moomba and got it out on the water to do a spring test run. Everything ran great, temp was good, all is well. I'm a happy dude today. It was my first time winterizing this boat myself so there is always that piece of caution in the back of my head.

I was out on Bryant in Eden Prairie from 10am to noon today. Wasn't a boat on the water and it was PURE glass on the entire lake. The wife had to go to work at 2 otherwise I may have sent her back for a wet suit and my board and taken a set..

I noticed that the water at the launch was noticeably warmer (still cold) than the water was at Marion in Lakeville and Fish in Maple Grove the past few weeks. Seems that the water is warming up with this great spring weather we'd had.

I'm off to wax the boat and start working on the stereo if I have time!

What is everyone getting for water temps? I had 52 deg. on April 11th and today I got 65 deg. Not sure how accurate my thermometer is but the water is warming up pretty fast. Time to break out the shorty wet suit!

My temp said 57 on saturday. I say you are a little high, but we arent far off of some wetsuit runs here.

Not sure what the temp was, but we were puttin in the dock/lifts and swimmin at my friends cabin in the Clearwater area this past weekend and it wasn't anything unbearable. would've taken a set but we havent dropped his Malibu in the water yet. Hopefully this coming weekend it gets put in. maybe I'll get an actual temp reading to post up on here.

Thanks Becca, my was running like crap so it was more so out of anger.

After $1100 this spring, I thought everything was running PERFECT. We fill up all the fat sacs get ready to ride and give it gas and I started hearing popping from the engine. 95% sure it is the Carb. This afternoon I went out with a mechanic with a brand new carb only discover I have a new electrical problem and my boat won't stop starting if my batteries are on, there must be a bad connection between my key and the started relay somewhere. A new carb runs somewhere around $650...I'm at a total loss. Pretty rough day.

I hate to "spam" like this, but i'm sellin a couple wakeboards in the Classifieds section, thought i'd let the MN ppl know, since this gets a bit more views than the classifieds. if any of you were by chance lookin for another board for you or a kid, save me the hassle of shipping, could meet up in the Metro area. here's the link: http://www.wakeworld.com/classifield...g.php?view=412

July 17th and 18th, August 14th and 15th. Sounds like it's going to be a day of ski and a day of wake.

This what he sent me in a email-

"The slalom event will be held on the 17th of July

As of right now I have a Malibu 2010 Response LXI for the slalom and a 2010 Malibu Wakesetter VLX for the wakeboarding.

I am thinking about doing practice in the morning before the event, trying to get a feel if people are interested in the practice sessions.

The event is set up so slalom is on Saturday and the wakeboarding is on Sunday. The wakeboarding you get two passes to put together your best run."

Went out last night to try out my new Inland Surfer Sweet Spot with Etakk. Wow! Totally different from a skim style board. So, I got a lot of learning to do. It's amazing at the drive you can create with the fins. The pocket doubled in length.

Any of you guys interested in buying some pop-products bags with me? I only need 160lbs (or 200lbs) to put in the boat to counterbalance the weight the driver when they're the only one in the boat, so if anyone was thinking of getting some let me know - I emailed the company to see what it would cost for just the 160lbs, it wasn't much of a discount off of the price for the 400lb set. Anyone want/need the other half of the 400lb setup for their boat?
Old     (tuneman)      Join Date: Mar 2002       05-03-2010, 11:47 AM Reply

I sold the boat...wondering if anyone in the cities is looking for a pair of Wet Sounds Pro 80's or WS-420 EQ?

Finding a new boat is my number one priority and paying for it, stereo second.

The 2010 boat search begins...
Old     (sinkoumn)      Join Date: Jan 2007       05-04-2010, 9:33 AM Reply
Don, it would be $375 total for the 400lb setup (I can have it shipped to a business address too, so we wouldn't have to pay the extra $60 for the residential delivery). But if anyone wanted to go in on it, it would be $187.50 for 200lbs (5 bags @ 40lbs each).

Jay, I would be looking for your exact boat. The biggest bummer is I just got a call from this kid who was going to buy it and his dad won't co-sign on the loan since he got suspended from school today. Now I'm back to square one...
Old     (nwarhol1105)      Join Date: Oct 2008       05-04-2010, 2:32 PM Reply
^^^^Nevermind, he took out the loan yesterday and has to buy it.

I found a 2001 X-Star with 450 hours for 21k...thats what I got my eye on. I'm not gonna rush into anything, I have a feeling there are going to be lots of boats for sale this summer.

Are you upgrading Jay? I remember seeing you at the boat launch on Bald Eagle last spring and you take great care of her.

I'm going to be riding on the whitefish chain over opening fishing weekend (may 15th & don't worry it'll be mid afternoon when no fish are biting anyways), any idea what kind of water temps I should expect? I know ice out was about a month earlier than last year so I'm hoping that helps negate the need for the dry suit...

Nick, I've been thinking about it for a while, but not sure about it. I'm still loving this boat right now. I've you've got any interest let me know, you could come out and ride with us some time....you'd at least get to experience what this boat (all older XStars) has to offer.

I live out in Boston but my parents have a cabin on Bertha that they spend the summers at. I try and get up there as much as work will allow cause there's really no better place to be in the summer. I usually ride right on bertha or one of the shores of upper whitefish, all depends where the calm water is.
