Hey guys just looking for a little advice on the backmobe on the system 2. I'm having lots of trouble with line tension. I've popped the handle on a couple, but the rest I feel like I'm struggling to make the handle pass as the line feels so darn tight (ending in a back edge ). Any suggestions that you can think of?

Cheers

For future searchers... I was told to try it directly under the cable. Got it first go. Peace out.

One thing that helped me a lot on this trick is thinking about the last part of the rotation as a wrapped landing that I'm familiar with. For instance, if you're doing the trick left foot forward, you are controlling the trick from start to finish with your right hand. Try cutting out heelside and doing a couple ollie 360's and try landing without passing the handle right away. This may help you realize how much later the handle pass can take place on the mobe. And by not handle passing so soon, you'll be muscling through that last part of the rotation using line tension before the handle pass. A lot of times, the handle pass on the mobe happens almost as you are landing on the water.

When I was learning the backmobe I would actually do my flick inside of the cable so I was landing directly under the cable. When you do it this way it is really easy to slip out on your flick, so make sure you get a good dig and flick. Your edge should be very short and hard. Just as Curt said, learn by landing wrapped and then work on getting the handle pass in the air.
