Sold my MC X2 and jumped into a whole new world in the Tige RZ2. Ragboy was super helpful and answered every one of my annoying questions before I pulled the trigger. I was teetering on many different brands and just kept coming back to the Tige.

I started out in a 2006 MC X2 that I have owned for 2 years. I really got into surfing but was limited by the short mushy wake that was being thrown by my MC, I just could not get it dialed no matter what I did.... sold it!
I have been back and forth between an RZR, RZ2 and Supreme V226. Due to many factors (Dealer proximity, product knowledge, reputation, resale etc..) I decided on a Tige RZ2. I am actually getting one of the first 2012's off the line, it should start being sprayed in the next day or 2!! A few new changes for 2012 on this boat are Wetsounds REV 10 tower speakers vs. Pro 80's. Standard bow filler cushion/cooler like on the RZR. I think there will be some new options in Gel Schemes as well but as you will see below in the pics of my boat to be built they do not come into play. This is the exact boat minus 2 of the tower speakers, I only wanted 2 REV 10's. I will be putting in the custom RZ2 sacks (1100lbs each) in the rear lockers. I will update with build pics as I receive them.

Sorry to make everyone read all that! BIG shout out to Chris Luckett at H20 Sports Unlimited in Stillwater, OK for hooking me up and being one of the most stand up dudes I have dealt with!
On to the pics....

Thanks Bret. I know not everyone is a fan of the RZ2 graphics and I had pondered going all white but I actually really liked the look once I got it dialed in.

The X2 is a great boat, but for surfing it has its limitations. My buddy has a X2 and the surf wake is steep with no length to it regardless of how much ballast we put it in.

That is a sweet boat! Too bad the custom surf sac isn't a factory option yet, maybe one day!

Mines pretty much maxed out weight wise, done a few mods too. The wave breaks about 5mtrs from the platform so its plenty long and steep... We run heaps of weight up front.

Bloody nice boat by the way, thats def on the list come new boat time.

Thanks Pete! Man I tried everything with the X2, I really loved the boat but ALL I do is surf and there were just better options out there.
I would guess they cannot offer the custom sacs on this boat factory due to going over the weight/people limit imposed.

I will keep updating with build pics.... really excited!!

Congratulations, thats a sweet looking color scheme.... you can never go wrong with white! You will really like the REV 10's, they are great speakers! definitely an upgrade from the Pro 80's...

How is the wakeboard wake on the RZ2? ballast configuration? I know the surf wake is awesome....

Hope you get some water time in this season with it.... enjoy!

That knee boarding wake looks a little washed out. I would get that fixed so the pro level knee boarders don't start complaining. I know when I was 10 and knee boarded I hated a washed out wake.

I'm 52 and can clear that wake easy.By the way that's a 75' line on the kneeboard .I'm on a 85' line on the wakeboard and can clear the wake easy on that also.

Robert, wake looks like everything you need... and 52 and on the board clearing the wake, nice work, thats awesome!

You just dont hear much about the RZ2 wakeboard wake, seems like most purchase this boat primarily for surfing only. Nice to see you can launch on the wakeboard as well....

for those that 'arn't' from ok-lahoma, H20 is an awesome company - only place i've ever had work on my boats. They for the most part do all custom orders, and only order 1-2 spec boats a year.

Call them if you ever want to order a Tige and they can hook you up.

That's great, but how is a customer going to know if they want a TIGE if they can't test it out .Would you spend 40,000 to 120,000 without test driving a new boat?

Thanks guys. Trailer is going to be all black. I am into simple and clean....typically strip all decals etc from my rigs but like the black decals on this boat. I think it would be too plain all white, but thats just me.

Seeing these boats coming together never gets old! Hope this isn't over the line, but how much more is it to custom order from the factory vs picking one out sitting at your local dealer??
Old     (jdhart73)      Join Date: Mar 2010       07-28-2011, 3:22 PM Reply
DC I actually did order my boat through a dealer. The photos are from the factory rep that is nice enough to take photos and keep me in the loop!

That being said, I feel that I got a great deal!

I cant imagine it with the customs that are waiting in the box. Was kind of surprised the hose was only 1/2" though.

Ok- I'm new to the posting, but I also have a new 2012 RZ2.

I thought you wanted more taps when on the left side... Am I wrong on this?

Thanks,

So how much are these Tige RZ2's going for. They look great but I heard they sell in the 90K range heck even in the mid 80's that is crazy!

The amount of TAPS will depend upon how fast the boat is going, the amount of ballast weight, and conditions on the lake.

I find that having TAPS at 6-8 can cause the lip to curl at certain speeds.

Congrats on the purchase of your RZ2. You will really like the boat

nope, whoever told you that is crazy. the standard MSRP is about 65k, would expect to get a well loaded one in the mid 70's

A friend that used to be a Tige rep for years and years. He told me a 2012 RZ2 would sell in the 80's. I would think you could be in the low mid to high 60's on a RZ2. Tige has stepped their game up though. Maybe a extra 10K is worth it?
Old     (simplej)      Join Date: Sep 2011       10-11-2011, 11:10 AM Reply
we just got an rzr, the factory MSRP was 57k for the stock boat, im feeling pretty confident that the rz2 is in the 65 range for standard equipment. and yes they have seriosuly stepped up their game, the 2011 vs a friends old 2008 looks like in his words "an entirely different company" and i was very impressed with the quality of his 08

regardless they fill the gap between MB/AXIS/MOOMBA and mc nautique malibu etc as far as price goes.
