East Bay Norcal mountain bike shops? - Non-Wakeboarding Discussion

Hi Norcal wakeboarders,
If there are folks on here from San Ramon, Danville, Pleasanton area, etc.,
one of my students wants to upgrade to a higher level mountain bike, but she is new to the area and was asking me about recommended bike shops out her way? I told her I found REI for bikes to be usually trustworthy, consistent and fairly priced after the dividend, but wondering about local shops or any that you all would recommend and why you like them?

I'm pretty surehttp://pegasusbicycleworks.com is in Danville. Great road bike selection (high end bikes) I hadn't payed that close attention to their MTB selection. But knowing what they have as a road collection Im sure they have some real nice MTBs
