help with sony xa-110 i pod adaptador

i got the xa-110 adaptador for my sony cdx-ca705. and all the head unit does is goes on and off. what did i do wrong please help.

What happens if you press "source" repeatedly?

well nothing, it seems to be looked up the cd wont come on.just goes on and off. the only thing that works is the volume and change stations works. could it be the head unit doesnt work with that adaptador.

in my boat i have a remote on the driver side the deck is in the glove.when i bought my boat it came with an adaptador for cd changer.so i used it so could have the i pod and the remote work at the same time.thats when the deck started going off and on.then i took off the remote wires and only ran the wires for the i pod. the ipod shows the xplod on the screen thats it and the song stayed pause.is something wrong with deck or is that the adaptador for the ipod dont work for the deck?

It seems like something is hooked up wrong. Did you try the re-set procedure?

i did hit reset button on the deck.
