fins on wakesurfer?

finally got me a boat last weekend and love it!
got an 08 moomba mobius lsv and bought a wake surf board today. never done it before but i used to skateboard a lot so i think i can manage to surf a little and have a lot of fun...

anyways, im looking at the fins that came with the board and they are curved at the base and when on the board you can see light between the board and fin. is this supposed to be like this or did the wrong fins come with the board?
just a beginners board, liquidforce fish 5.0...

This is a common problem with fcs/two tab fin systems. This is one reason why high quality wakesurfboard use Futures systems with a solid base.

Does it really make a difference, no not for most people. You can get some drag due to the gap and often debris can get stuck underneath the fin, but the fact that there is a gap is normal for that type of system.
