Anyones thoughts on one of these as a boat board? Also saw a link on the libtech site referencing using one of their Ram short boards for wake. I think the puddle jumper might work too, if only for big guys. Thoughts?

As a boat board, for $100 it doesn't look too bad. Other than that it looks awful. Good option for a jackass buddy who hasn't a clue that your $1500 board might be something you'd rather not have smashed into the back of the boat.

Libtech has always made really cool stuff. Ocean surfboards just aren't optimized for wakesurfing though. Generally too much rocker, too much length, not enough width.

Sheesh! Who makes a $1500 board??? Better question might be who buys a $1500 board. It's gotta be a surf style with a ton of custom art because even carbon fiber skim styles are less than half that.

^^^Whoa. Crazy. Strange they don't have any other views of the board than a top view.

What the website lacks, the board makes up for. Not to mention they are great people.

I'd bet Choas could build a $1500 board. He knows his chit.

Alright alright alright, haven't been on here in awhile....

Spongers or softtops... you can ride them behind the boat, they are OK, not great, they tend to flex funny and more than anything the pop-in fins just fall out....

Puddle jumper and others, not bad cruisers, but they are designed for the ocean which is much different than behind a boat. They tend to plow the water a lot more than wakesurfboard will.

$1500 board.... Yeah, I could probably come up with some unicorn **** to sell a person on a $1500 board.... But the truth is there is no such thing. That is a $800 board being marked up to an unrealistic price.

Thanks nick. I'm on wife imposed budget now. Few things to prioritize. Still need a Bimini, tower speakers and FAE. Then... New board for dad! Would be nice if somehow we could demo boards before dropping a grand on a board. I've narrows it down to Chaos, Brigade and Inland or P5 for my first big boy board.
