We did this a week and a half ago, but please enjoy footage from the fifth annual PumpkinHead BoardFest. I realized that I never posted the fourth annual; that is somewhere on youtube as well if you are
really bored.
The water was brutal (more like 3-4 foot seas), wife tried to chop off her thumb, we ran over a rope two miles away from home base (had a knife, thanfully borrowed goggles from shore), had a 6-7 year old slide off the gunwale into 55° water (while immobile with rope/prop issue) and finally rode for a little bit; if you can call it that (more like held on for dear life).
