Is there any way to avoid water going in the vent holes when you stop to turn back and pick up a fallen rider?

Move to vent to the other side of the boat. Or move it up to the front of the boat.

water shouldn't hurt anything, from what I was told from the dealer. Was he wrong??

He was wrong.

Last year water from the air vents in my boat killed my perfect pass.

Last time out one of my crew was driving and kept turning the wrong way. The bilge came on again and again. After a while the boat wasn't starting very well.

dumb ass salesman, I knew I couldn't trust him. My vent holes are on starboard side towards the back, and I usually weigh down port side. Hey what if you put some elbows that pointed up made from rubber tubing such as fuel line or radiator hose, think that might work?

Hey Show - Question, do you turn away from the surf side as not to dip that side/corner?

Surfing is new to me, thanks for the help.

I turn with the low side of the boat in the center of the turn.

I saw a post on this a while back but I can not seem to find it again. Are we supposed to be turning to the side of the ballast (low side) or the opposite side?

Turn to the ballast side.

When you kill the throttle, the boat will naturally turn the wrong way. Start blipping the throttle, turn to the ballast side, and let the rollers pass.

There is a video on this page that shows how to safely turn your boat around

PLUG YOUR VENT AND TURN THE RIGHT WAY, THE OPPOSITE OF YOUR BALLAST. WATER GOES IN JUST AS MUCH THE OTHER WAY, ESPECIALLY IF A BOAT GOES BY. JUST MY 2 CENTS.

I agree with Mark. The IS video shows how I want my drivers to turn.

Corey, I have to disagree, at least on my boat.

So has anyone put check valves in place to make the vent a one way?
