Have a proline LG and there is a section where the coating snapped back a bit this past week. Proline is sending me a replacement, but I'm curious if using he rope is dangerous in any way? Rope itself seems to be in perfect condition...just looks as though someone pulled the coating apart around 10 feet from he handle.

Thanks.

Id say you're fine... I had a Proline LG and the coating got beat up in a few places and we just peeled that part off. No worries

Yeah, I think you will be fine. I don't believe the coating adds significantly to the tensile strength.

I think that's just plastic for aesthetic purposes, i never even gave it a thought

I always thought the plastic was to help prevent knotting. I think you're good
