I have a Jabsco Ballast Puppy pump that works intermittently. a lot of the time if will fill the bag, but then doesn't have enough power to reverse the impeller and empty the pump. Sometimes if I open the impeller cover it will start moving, then I can put the cover back on and it will keep going. I called Wakemakers today and talked to Andrew and he said it could be low voltage to the pump. He said to check the voltage with a multi-meter at different points along the wiring to the pump. I did that and found that the wires from the battery into the rocker switch has 12.6 volts, but when the switch is on, the voltage coming out of the switch going to the pump is only 11.6 volts which also causes the voltage at the pump to be 11.6. Does that sound like a faulty switch? Or would 11.6 volts be plenty to run the pump like normal?

Thanks for the help?

A 1 volt drop across the switch is pretty significant.

Thanks Chpthril, electrical stuff isn't my strongest subject so I just wanted another opinion before I ordered up a new switch.
