I am looking at an 04 Malibu LSV. It has no ballast system at all. Can I add a ballast system to this boat? any idea how much this would cost?

Wow, an 04 with no ballast. That is quite a large barefoot boat.

Depending on which way you want to go 3 sacs or 4 sacs / 800phg pumps, 1200gph pumps or Jabsco Ballast Puppies. You have some room to wiggle. Decide to make it similar to factory or change it up.

You would be looking at between $1000 and $2000.

I figured around $1500 for 2 750lbs. rear sacs, a 370lb. ski locker sac, and a 500lb. integrated bow sac. They would be filled and drained using Attwood Tsunami 800gph pumps. Two intakes, 4 switches, and 8 outlets (1 vent, 1 drain per bag). And everything in between.

This setup would be similar to newer MLS malibu ballast systems.

Should be a fun project. Have a good time.
Thanks,
