So we bought a 2009 Sanger V215 with an exile system already in it and the guy who owned it before us used the boat only for wake surfing so he had surf series exile tower speakers but since we wakeboard and since I already have the harpoon amp I would like to get some Exile XM7 tower speakers so we can hear some music when we wakeboard.

Why not step up to the XM9's?

Cause I don't want to spend big bucks.

If you have the 9" surf speakers (STX9Q) I would be interested in a trade for a set of XM9's if they are in great shape.

I think the speakers I have on the tower are Exile SXT65's.

That's cool, I have 4 XM9's now and don't want to down size. Hit Brian up with Exile or chat on their site. They have worked me some pretty sweet deals off msrp and have demo gear from time to time.

The max price that I would be willing to pay for a pair of exile xm7's is $600

I recommend finding a couple local exile dealers and try to negotiate as there is a lot of markup in marine speakers. I used to work in the industry and bought a pair of xm9s a couple years ago off a friend who still does. You should be able to pay significantly less than $600 for a pair of xm7s.

I can't do xm9's because there isn't enough space between the bimini top and the tower so I have to go with the xm7's

If bimini clearance is an issue, have you looked into the Wet Sounds Rev-8? I think you will find the hang height of the larger 8" Rev-8 to be close to that of the smaller 6.5" xm7.

I would like all my stereo stuff to be the same brand so I don't want anything but exile.

Come on there must be someone on this site that gas some exile xm7's or knows someone with a pair of exile xm7's that they are trying to sell or want to sell.

You should try contacting Exile directly. I know in the past that they have used pairs laying around or know of local guys looking to upgrade and sell their old gear. They can also point you in the right direction to make sure it's tuned correctly for the new speakers once you get a pair.

Or buy this guys pair of Samson Branded ones for $350.00:

Brett - contact our office at 888-249-0970 and Natlie can see if she can help you locate a pair of demos/ refurbs or something. The XM7 was discontinued 3 years or so back for the larger XM9 model.
