Hi everyone,
I could do with a bit of help iv been riding for about 3 years in the UK with limited success as over here we are generally reliant on clubs and after wasting money on some so called coaches iv finally found a good lake with a good boat and excellent coach. But my problem is my current board when I started I didn't know much about any boards and bought what the guy in the shop told me so since my first time on a board until now iv been riding a LF Shane 2010 I think. With this board iv got to the stage now of landing HS wake to wake every time and TS most of the time to and starting to land some wake to wake 180s. But I'm finding that even standing as tall as I can at the wake there is pop but not a great deal and I spend most of my time HS landing out in the flats so I'm looking at a new board this summer to try and help with some more straight up pop.
The Ronix camber boards have taken my attention as have some of the slingshot boards.
Any ideas anyone please, any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Mike, you have endless options. Most people experiences are with a few boards. I would hold off on the camber boards until more people ride them. Slingshot makes a great board with soft landing. If you want pop, you may want to look boards like the Ronix One or similar boards. The best thing to do is be a board whore and try all your buddies boards.

At this stage, I wouldn't get too hung up on the board -- LF Shane 2010 (and any modern board, really), should pop fine. If you're not getting the pop, it's likely not the board, but technique.

Without seeing you ride, it's hard to advise, but if you haven't already, learn how to ollie, then slowly ride into the wake with a short approach and really concentrante on standing up as you ride up the wake, with a bit of ollie off the top. Don't worry about clearing the other wake, focus on going up, not the distance. When everything comes together, you should feel trampoline like upward push off the wake.

Once you get that, then start cutting out more and hitting the wake with more speed to get the distance. Play with line tension at the wake. Depending on the trick, you'll want more or less, but you always want to be standing up as you ride up the wake to maximize pop.

Thanks for your feed back I may put the board on hold and spend the money on more sets.
