Anything we need to do while we're there. It's going to be a fairly short weekend. Friday morning to Sunday. Catching a A's game on Friday. No plans for Saturday except City Hall for steaks. Anything else? Looks like we're staying at the Valley Ho. Apparently not walking distance to the stadium, but we have a van and driver for the weekend.

It's going to be a bachelor party, but pretty low key. I think this is about the 15th one we've done, so we're all kinda burnt out on the whole deal. More of a short vacation and we'll see where the nights take us. Ha, ha.

i havent been in phoenix/scottsdale heavily for about 2 years but i used to spend a good deal of time there. friday night i would probably head to dos gringo's for drinks or saddle ranch. there are also an eff ton of clubs in old town scottsdale too. go to mill avenue in tempe if you wanna deal with the throngs of colleges kids. old town scottsdale it where i would head to for a little older scene but it can still be quite young there. for saturday if you dont want to play golf you could and should drive to sedona if none of you have been. very cool little town about an hour a 30 north of phoenix. the scenery is unreal and worth the trip alone. there are some small hikes to do and the town has a very hippie feel to it. there are also a number of casinos within 10-30 mins if you want to play poker etc. depending on the temps you could check out the pool at the W hotel good sight seeing and ppl watching. also climbing camel back mountain is cool to do. decent little hike and it will put you on on a mountain with the best view of the entire city. saturday night i would head back to scottsdale. there are a number of good places to eat. cowboy ciao is very good, olive and ivy is good, geisha a go go. if you eat in old town you can park the car and walk to just about all the bars and clubs. i like the pussy cat lounge and dirty pretty for more clubby places. locals go to the coach house for cheap beer and drinks to start the night. they should still have a million lights lit on the inside.

The W hotel has an outdoor lounge by the pool. It's pops pretty good. Across the street are several bars and clubs.

We have a house in Tempe. When I am there, my favorite place is Four Peaks Brewery. I would say that it is a locals place and has the best beer and five star bar food, probably the best in the valley. One of the partners is a five-star chef so the food is always awesome.

If you are in Scottsdale and have lady friends with you the Sunday Brunch at the Valley Ho is good. Depending on the time of year it can be the "the place to be". Snoop Dog actually owns a condo/hotel unit there. He came for the Super Bowl and smelled up his room so bad that wanted to charge him for new everything.... so he just bought the room...
