What's the earliest wake-sports inspired v-drive that was made? Also, it has to be a 20' boat. I'm looking for another project and live on a private lake with a 20' rule (20' on title, they don't actually measure the boat).
Thanks!
Chris

I believe they made a barefoot nautique also that year.

I could be wrong but the v drive excel was considered a barefoot boat

Maybe. But they made a "barefoot" nautique

Late barefoot nautique was an excel with a 454. Very cool boat.

You guys are a couple decades off...
And...there were other classics earlier than this.
This is a 1973 but Century made similar boats as early as the 60's
Dont think I would want to surf behind this bad boy though...

Our Nautique Excel with 1700lbs plumbed in, Perfect Pass Pro, Monster Tower and new Upholstery. The Wake is comparable to a 210.

Give me a week and I'll get some wake pictures. Big enough to comfortably do Raleys and Switch Kripts. Not big enough for Double Flips though, lol. 4 blade prop makes a big difference in weighted power. We haven't played with the surf wave much. It's a 1991 and IMO I don't think its worth putting the stress on the engine to surf. I've been told its a pretty rare boat and we've been happy with it. 1150 hours.
