Right now I'm running a Syn2 to 4 Rev8s, so 175 watts each. What are some other good options to get some more power without running another syn2? I know the sd2 is perfect but don't want to spend that money for an amp.

If im not wrong the arc audio se series is a class AB amp so the ks 600.2 is more efficient and will deliver more power at 12 volts 300x4

Maybe at 12 volts but let's hope he doesn't get down there. I was really just goofing. He'd have to want to spend $1300 on that amp. Personally I prefer class D amps but I do think we all get a little too hung up on the classes. AB are great sounding amp and its what I have on my towers and I've never had any issues with it. Back in the day when HLCD's were in their infancy its what everyone was running. That said if I have an issue with my amp I'll move to an Exile XM 30.2 which is class D and at 2 ohms is 420 watts per channel.

There would be little return on investment to add a 2nd Syn-2 and go from 175 to 200 watts rms each.

Dual HT-4 would do the trick

An SD-2 would deliver 310W rms to each and is Class-D marine. Similar power to the Arc SE, but less expensive, more efficient.

The Arc KS600.2 is also a good choice power wise.

JL HD750/1 is a solid option, but again, not a huge jump in net wattage from what you currently have.

Dual Arc XDi600.4 would also be 300 x 2 @ 4 ohm and class-D.

The JL Audio HD750/1 is going to be 187.5 watts bare minimum to all four Rev8s at any supply voltage and that's an easy 20% upgrade at 12.5 volts. You have to look deeper than the 1 kHz, 14.4V power. But that's incremental and still not the upgrade you are looking for.
The JL Audio XD800/8 bridged into four channels will deliver four times 280 watts with a 14.4 volt supply and will maintain 200 watts to each speaker with a 12.5 volt supply. Its full audio bandwidth power is 97% of its 1 kHz power and that is very rare. I've heard this amplifier on four Rev8s and it is impressive. It takes eight conductors up the tower.
I still think a Wetsounds SD2 is the best choice for four Rev8s considering the power and efficiency and knowing the domestic engineering that went into this amplifier. It will get every ounce of performance from four Rev8s.

Wow I've never heard of an 8 channel amp for 12v applications. Sounds like a bit of a pain to wire up.

Obviously you have a certain extra sensitivity to 'pain'.

Kidding aside, look at the flipside for some systems, not all. One amplifier driving a sub (bridged), two HLCD tower speakers (bridged), and four in-boat coaxials (stereo) in a single chassis with no extra distribution, etc. Pretty clean. Tons of applications for cruisers with multiple zones (bow deck), cockpit, sections within the cockpit, transom or radar arch, cabin (salon & stateroom), etc. Some towboats (MC) already have 8-conductors up the tower. 4 X 200 watts for four 880 in-boat coaxials. Just scratching the surface.
