So, I have a friend who is considering a new boat and is partial to Mastercrafts. I'm posting on here because he's come across a deal that really surprised me, and I can't help but feel like something is off. From what I've observed at boat shows and such, it seems like a new X30 should be easily north of $100,000 (correct me if I'm wrong). What threw me off was a local dealer quoted him around 85 for a well equipped, brand new X30. Am I missing something here? It has the Ilmor 5.7, tower speakers, underwater lights, Gen 2, additional rear ballast, and more. Color scheme is nothing out of the ordinary. Why would this dealer want to get rid of this boat so bad? Or is this really a realistic price for that boat? I'm just wondering if anyone has had any experience working with MC dealers that would cause this situation to make sense. Thanks!

Doesn't seem off, with those options. That should be about right.

A bare bones X30 is about $75k with a trailer. Adding Gen2, Touchscreen, 2 JL Cans, and underwater lights would put it at $85-87ish. Engine options add up really fast, as do things like the MC Speaker cans (MC billet Cans are like 5k more than the JL Cans for a set of 4. They are crazy $$) , additional tower racks, Reversable seat, premium sound system, etc... A fully loaded X30, with a 7.4l, can approach 125k pretty fast (after a typical 20-25% discount) For most guys, though, the average "well equipped" X30, with a 6.0, goes in the mid 90s.

I appreciate the response Eric. I guess I was under the impression that the X30 had a higher base price. Thanks

I was quoted $90k for a 2015 X30 w/ 6.0L this year at the boat show. I was also surprised with that quote thinking it would be more.

Seems the $90k is now chump change... a real "value" boat. LOL

... hmmm , Really a 2015 with a 6.0 on a Trailer ? $90k??
That would be an actual LOSS at the Dealer..
You should have bought that Bought on the spot..
You could have flipped it

Probably really depends on options, Larry. If they didn't go too crazy, it should land at 90 pretty easily.

2015 X30 Base- $96,820
6.0 Ilmore- $5,390
Gen 2 Surf- $5,160
Premium audio and touchscreen package- $6,030
Total MSRP- $113,400.00 Average discount of 20% gets you at $90,720.00 + $4100.00 for a T/A Boatmate = $94,820.00

Now, if the dealer gave a quote on an "Above Average" discount, (Lets say 25% off, which seems fairly common on stock boats, at certain times of year) the price would be $85,050.00 plus $4100.00 for the trailer.

my local dealer wouldn't be anywhere near under 100k for x30.

I hear u on that!!! No way mine would be either!

Last fall my local MC dealer was doing me a favor offering a demo 60hr 6L 2014 x25 for $117k!!!!! I passed.

It's all about the volume though, 1 dealer sells 100 boats a yr vs the guy that only sells 50 can give quite a bit better price. Still sucks that a person is stuck having to buy from the guy that is fine only moving 20 boats a yr collecting 95% of MSRP on each one.

^^^
I should say I don't think its about volume..I am CERTAIN my MC dealer is a low Volumes one..

I got a NEW , Leftover 14, X30 -5.7 GEN2, MC Trailer for 32.2% off MSRP
My timing was good, and the Boat needed to go....

There ARE deals for sure...

I just think Room on a 2015 spec built X30 is a bit fight when making a Deal... 20-22% would be a good deal off MSRP normally
