Those of you that know hydrodynamics and other magical formulas for how a board reacts to the water on a boat made wave vs an ocean wave can you chime in on how this board would react
Says it's good for smaller waves

It will ride fine, but will feel incredibly big. Unless you are a 280+ person. You have to remember even though it is small wave board (which means waist to head high), it is still very thick with a lot of surface area to help paddling efficiency. The shape of the rails, and the rocker will also lend a very surfy ride versus wake surfing.

I have a buddy with the 5-9 on order for the ocean. I really like the idea of wake surfing in the summer keeping my ocean riding strong and I have always had a blast on ocean boards every time I've ridden one behind the boat. But I don't take wake surfing seriously--it is just an end-of-day thing for me.

That board is badass and with this lib tech it appears to be unstoppable. I think Nick is right on the way the board will ride behind the boat. That being said you can get away with ridding a smaller board behind the boat than in ocean waves. I ride the same 9-0 behind my boat and out in the surf, no problems. This Puddle Jumper is one to have in the quiver.
