I'm 6'0" 200 lbs. currently riding a broken 140 cm LF Witness 2012 with Transit bindings. Looking to pick up a new board at end of season sales. (I ran into a dock at an empire wake collegiate event last year, and cracked one end of my current board.) Right now I'm looking at a 2012 or 2013 Ronix One Modello 142 at around 50% off. Both are the same price, $240, and I wanted to know if there is any difference between the two and is there any reason not to get the 2013 board?

I'm probably going to keep using the same bindings I have now since they're still treating me well. I only ride behind a boat except maybe once or twice a year at a park, but I can use my cracked witness for that or just rent. My tricks are pretty limited due to a past shoulder surgery, but I have a nice backroll, some 180's, and I'm looking to progress a lot next season. Oh, and I'm riding behind a 2012 supra 22v, that I have no problem hitting the flats behind heelside, or going w2w toeside.

I've ridden both. The One is going to be considerably slower, and less consistent pop than the Witness. I would suggest you jump up a size as well. A 140 is on the small side for your size. If you like the Witness, you should try to grab a 144. They are cheap. I tried to ride the one for most of season, I feel like it held me back from progressing. However, everyone is different.

For comparison, I'm on a 143 Harley - 6'0" @ 185 lbs
