Stephen, saw you were in Kingwood, I live on Lake Houston, and ride the upper san jac. If you really want a MC and want to spend 40k, yoru only going to be able to afford used, probably 4-5 years old.

I could get closer to 40 on my price, but I would have to remove some of the stereo.

Buy a Malibu?

I think he wants a Mastercraft, but if he wants to look at other brands, tell him WHY he should look at Malibu....

(this post is not to be read Anti-Malibu)

HAHAHA... This is a classic post.

If you're joking, thank you.

If you're serious, I'd highly recommend doing some research before buying a boat that "looks like fun" unless you're just FULL of cash and really don't care.

Mastercrafts are fun, but I have to agree with anodyne. Do some research, be an informed buyer. There are other boat brands and many models under each brand and some may suit your needs better than others. You can get a good boat for under 40k. But the worst thing is to buy a new (to you) boat and find out it doesnt meet your needs compared to something different that you could have gotten. The area you live in has lots of people willing to help you out to find the boat you need. www.gcwa.com

"Buy a malibu"

The mods really should put an age limit on who can post to the thread.

WOW ....

I agree with your comment Paul.

Steve I would suggest you do a bit of homework before you purchase

The only boat close to what you want to spend is a Mastercraft X-1. Last year they were selling for $40K w/ trailer before Taxes and accessories. I'm sure there will be a price increase for 2007, but maybe you can find an 06 out there somewhere. BTW, that boat makes one of the best wakes out there. The hull has been used for a lot of years on different MC boats, 205, X-Star, X-2, and X-1.
