Leave Fresno and just 6 mins later they are over Lake Tulloch and then left hand full forward and they are in LA just Mins later they are doing a fly over in LA.

That's cool. ours fly over our River while we're boating all the time. :-) When we were motoring down the Columbia River the other day, 3 of them took off, climbed up high, spun sideways and then climbed high enough that you could see their shadow on the clouds below them.

But yeah, it's pretty common to see them over our river.

Also have a couple Navy ships in the docks along the Willamette. And a mean looking heavily armed boat guarding them and keeping pleasure boats at a distance. You would have also liked "Fleet Week" For the Portland Rose Festival. We got to tour the USS Jackson LCS6 Independence-class littoral combat ship. It's all aluminum has a 20 foot draft, can go over 50mph. It can turn on a dime with rear jets and a front jet bow thruster than can pivot to either side. It's pretty badass. They also had a missle carrier but we would have had to wait another hour in line to tour that one...

Actually I overstated. draft is under 15'. So it can operate in waters much shallower than most other crafts of its size. But it can't handle the chop!!! (sound familiar?)
