We kept going back and forth on the colors of our new one. When we saw this one, we had to have it. The pics don't do it justice. We still have to add tower lights and replace the speakers with some HLCDs.UploadUpload

Mike that boat is bad ass!!!!!. I really like the red metal flake. I see more and more of the big custom boat builders using it the last few years. Good call on the HCLD's you will want to go big on the tunes so it matches the rest of your boat.

What engine did you get?

I was at the LA boat show yesterday and they didn't have one MC with the new graphics like your boat. I really like the new graphics!

Nice ride, but Metal flake should only be reserved for a Ranger

It has the MCX. That is the same engine that my 06 has in it and it does a great job.

i saw your new boat at the louisville boat show it is very nice congrats,
i hated that yellow and red x45, what did you think of that color combo
one other thing, why do they say tow boat of the x games, since the x games no longer have wakeboarding

The yellow and red 45 was a wild combo. People either loved it or hated it. It did sell at the show. I don't know about the X games thing. They should probably change it to Towboat of the Pro Tour.

You're gonna love that ride. Welcome to the MC family...

Mike. You are killing me! Did you buy that from Nick and Greg. Tell them they owe Rob Roberts a referral fee.

Congrats man. That is one bad boat.

Do you have any pics of the interior?

Coach, I was there yesterday too. Went to check out some boats, to see what I want next. ... Ended up spending more time looking at the yaughts. I can't afford a house in Orange county, but I can afford a 40' boat. .. Interesting.
Old     (roughrivermike)      Join Date: Apr 2006       02-04-2007, 11:07 AM Reply
Rob Roberts, Sorry there will be no referral fee. Look at my profile, I was already a Boatworks customer.

Colin, I did not take any interior pics. Mainly because I have not blinged it up yet. I'm going to put the aluminum X speaker grills and the Xstar snap in carpet.

Oh my hell that red flake is so sick but IMO the scribble graffix on your previous star are pretty much the coolest boat graffix to be offered on a boat. No matter what its dank. I love how its got the flake on the swim platform as well good touch.

hey mike, come to think of it, I think we met at the lake cumberland poke run this year, if it was not you it was an identical boat to your old one

Mike I was joking about the referral. Is Kleinert and Kutz one of your clients?
Old     (roughrivermike)      Join Date: Apr 2006       02-04-2007, 12:33 PM Reply
Supra for me, Ive never had my boat on cumberland, but there was a gunmetal X2 that ran around down there.

Rob, K&K are not currently one of my clients, but I have been one of their patients.

border X- seems funny now but the house will build equity with time as the boat just becomes a old boat that only you love. The prices on some of the boats is unreal. I liked the DCB 26 sport deck but at $119 without power I will not be able to afford that any time soon. To power it right that boat will run $150+ My new Tige seems like a bargin compaired to the price of some boats at the show. BTW the new MC PWT was bad ass.
Old     (boarder_x)      Join Date: Mar 2006       02-04-2007, 8:27 PM Reply
Coach, ya, I know. It's just frustrating, that I am an Engineer, making decent money, and I can't afford to buy a place.

... That really sad part is, even buying a boat, will still lose value, and is only slightly better than renting.

Plus, living on a boat, I'll have to get rid of all my stuff. ... (There is NO storage on those things.)

Fulsom is just like the OC in terms of housing. Move out of state and you are buying a killer house with property. Stay in Cali, enjoy the weather, pay up the ass for a house, and 1/2 your salary goes to support illegals and dead beat losers who don't work. A house boat doesn't sound 1/2 bad, get lost in the delta and quit paying taxes, hummmm, doesn't sound half bad.

Best looking boat at the show!

Can't wait to see it at the lake, and see what the girls learn behind it this year!

On the topic of X-stars, can someone please set me straight on what propeller is now stock, and if it is the best one for wakeboarding? (3000+ LBs ballast) The way I understand it the 14.25x14 OJ is the killer wakeboard prop, but is this the one that is being put on stock? If it is, what is the best cup? Thanks.
Old     (roughrivermike)      Join Date: Apr 2006       02-05-2007, 6:02 PM Reply
Byrd, I'm selling my 06. I was waiting to see if I could afford the 07. I can't use both so I'm dealing on the 06. I put it on Boat trader a couple of days ago for 66,500, but now I need to move it so the price will come down. It has every option.
Old     (factory)      Join Date: Aug 2006       02-05-2007, 6:09 PM Reply
the 14.25x14.5 oj prop is the recommended one stock cup is 1.0 i believe. check out wakeboarding mag boat buyers guide issue. couple of articles about proping the xstar.

Thats tight. Since clearly money is no object, see if you can get a tripla axle trailer. Slap it on dubs and that thing would be pimpin the lakes & roadways for miles.

Wow. I bet that boat looks so nice in the sun. Congrats. Youll have a great time with that boat. Just watch out for the hatters. They come in flocks.

I need Sunglasses to look at that thing. Its going to be like a huge red mirror on the water with that metal flake paint jobs (which is one sweet way to paint an xstar).

I can't wait to put it on the water. I went to the lake today to check out the house. The lake was frozen. I have only seen that twice. Man I hate winter. On the bright side the water looked like glass.

I can't figure out why. I've sent you a couple of e-mails on it. Someone else told me they couldn't find it either. I'll try again to just send you info on it by way of email. soory about that.

Hey Mike, what part of Rough do you ride on? We have a cabin near Axtel (Long Lick Creek), but I try to get around to different parts of the lake throughout the year, so maybe we can hook up sometime this upcoming summer. That boat is going to look sick out on the water! Congrats!

We are not too far from you. When you leave Nicks Boat Dock just go straight out (not under the bridge). Go around the first corner and we are the first dock. Do you have a cabin in Meadow Lake?
