Any advice on where to mount the paddle wheel under the boat? My dealer suggested toward the rear.

what type of boat???

rear is good...because you need to keep it in the water...if your boat has more than 15 degrees of bow rise the paddel will not read...

Be sure that nothing is in front of the paddle wheel. Toward the back should be fine.

Call Perfect Pass directly - 902-468-2150.

It is very likely that they have some experience with your specific boat model and can direct to to the best location the FIRST time!
