Memphis 8" HLCD

So I have been a click away from finally ordering rev8s for a while now but am yet to do it. But this weekend we played in a cove with an Axis that was running the Memphis 8" HLCDs, they sounded freaking sweet to me and were coming in super clear from across the cove. I talked to the guy for a minute he seemed to love them. Was it the beer speaking or are they really that good?

I don't have any experience with them but a lot of speakers sound really good and loud sitting still in a cove. But I would want to hear how they sound at the end of the rope going 22 mph.

Yeah that is what perked my interest, my wife was skiing running 30 and they were headed away from us boarding and I was hearing their music like it was my in boats. Granted this was 7:30am and a calm morning.

The guy didn't have a clue what amp he was running or anything like that, I just want to hear some opinions if anybody has actually heard them behind the boat.

The WS have a higher RMS wattage, but the Memphis i cannot find the sensitivity info on, i doubt they are higher then ws though so they probably are similarly loud.

to me, they look like the Exile/sampson speakers rebranded

You get what you pay for.... Long term (I believe) the WS are a better value.
