I am looking for a Victoria Factor PCX, size XL. Let me know if you have one in good shape and are willing to sell it! TIA.

There was no XL for 2016. The Factor PCX will be an all new shape for 2017 that will be released at Surf Expo and there will be an XL.

The new shape is It takes what people loved about the previous shape, but tweaked it to take the performance to the next level. It's still a high end board, that anyone can get comfortable on though.
You can preorder from any Victoria dealer, but they will not be shipping until after Surf Expo in two weeks.

We will release all the info during Expo, and it should be on the website shortly after.

Mitch,

Do you know what date the 2017's can be purchased and shipped? I ride my buddies 53" Phase 5 Matrix and it is my favorite board to date. I'm about to pull the trigger on the same board for my myself but I am considering a Factor PCX size large. I'm 180lbs. If you're familar with the Matrix I'm curious to hear your opinion. The matrix spins so easy, has tons of push, plenty of pop, super light, durable, always under control, etc. Only thing we did to it was put a slightly longer fin on it. I cant imagine a better board for me but heard good things about Victoria. Are there fin options on the Victoria's?

I ride the large factor pcx. I am 190lbs, 5'8" and ride behind a mc x20. The board spins super quick, it's very snappy, responsive, fast down the line and good for airs. I just put a longer fin on it and it makes it much easier to keep from over spinning 3's. I am very happy with the board and Mitch was a big help when I was shopping for a new board, the guy knows his stuff.

The 2017 boards will be released tomorrow at Surf Expo. If you follow Victoria Wakesurf on instagram I will post a bunch of stuff in the story during expo.
You can preorder them now by calling any Victoria Wake dealer and they will ship in about 2 weeks from the time you order, until shops start stocking them.

Coming from the Matrix, you will like the new Factor PCX shape. It has a sharper pin tail than before which makes it lock into the wave easier yet it makes it even more responsive. The rocker has also been tweaked which makes it even easier to boost off the wake.

The Victorias come with a 1.25" fin which is I believe is deeper than Phase 5 stock fin. You can also move the fin forward to loosen the board up or move it back for a longer hold on the wake. I prefer it all the way back. It is a standard hole pattern, so you can use any phase 5 fin if you wanted. Too deep of a fin takes away a lot of the performance in the board.

How would one work out a demo on a factor pcx? I have a Soulcraft skimmer coming next week and I stopped by our local dealer and grabbed a danielo diamond today.

Also what do you mean by too deep of a fin? Fin size, shape, or placement?

In order to try one you would have to get a hold of someone with one or talk to your local shop. If they are interested in becoming a dealer, something can be worked out.

The boards are designed to be ridden with a certain fin shape. So the way it carves, holds an edge, releases, and spins is all based on that stock fin. The boards we meant to be ridden on edge with the rail giving you control. When someone puts in a bigger fin they end up riding flat based which throws all the design characteristics out the window.

Are those weight ranges accurate? Would I target a M or L at 180lbs considering both my skims are 53"x20.5. Matrix is 5/8" total thickness and Flying Saucer is 3/4". How thick is the PCX? Total thickness.

Here is the info on the Matrix 53 - 53"×20.5"×.625" 8 Liters 5’3″-6’1″ 190 Lbs.
