How to get amp to run at 2ohms?

2 Wetsound Pro 80's
1 Kicker zx450.2

Do i bridge these to get my amp at two ohms or what? Please be detailed its been awhile since i worker with audio.

One more question I have a kicker 4 channel running my six cabin speakers. I have it hooked up like this

2 Front speakers + - + - Thats on 2 channels of the amp. Rear ++ -- ++ -- is on the other two channels. That sound right?

You can't make that amp run at 2 ohms with those speakers, you would have to get another set to do that. The speakers are 4 ohms, if you wired the speakers together you could only run them on one channel of that amp to get 2 ohms. Unfortunately you can't bridge those speakers to that amp, it's not stable at 2 ohms in bridged mode. If you haven't used that amp yet you could take it back and get a bigger model. I'm guessing you're trying to get the most out of the amp possible. Just try hooking it up with one Pro-80 on each side of that amp. Kickers are good about producing much more power than stated, so you're probably looking at more like 175X2 at 4 ohms at the end of the day.

Your kicker 4 channel for the cabin speakers is wired correctly. The 2 rear channels on the amp are wired at 2 ohms just to give you an idea what that looks like.

Like Nu Bu said, you cant bridge a 2ohm (2 4ohm speakers wired parallel) load, the amp will see a 1ohm load... not good for it.

Pro80's need at least 200W RMS and are 4ohm
Kicker ZX450.2 is 150W RMS x 2 @ 4ohm. This will leave the 80's a bit under powered. May look @ the ZX550.2 (205W @ 4ohm) or even better, the ZX850.2 (295W @ 4ohm).

Second nubu on this one just run it at 4 ohms it should have plenty of power and be nice and clean.

Seth, I run a pair of Pro80's with a JLA4300, 150watts rms X2 at 4ohms and there as loud and clear as youll need. Im sure your kicker amp will be fine.

I've also run these speakers with 160 watts and seen great results....

Don't worry about your amp, I think it'll do fine - at least try it out first - I don' think you'll be disappointed.
