Springfield Lake - Akron Riders?????

I'm new to the area and looking for a crew in or around Springfield Lake in Akron. Live close by and can have my boat to the dock in 10 mins.
Looking to put a crew together or get a pull, I haven't even been out once this year yet!

I do the majority of my boating on springfield, if you want to go riding let me know.

I am there too. Keep my boat at a friends dock. I have an older supra with extended pylon puts out a nice wake for no weight. I try to get out as much as I can but sometimes finding a third is tough. I am planning on going there this week. Let me know you schedule and I'll give ya a pull.

What kind of boat do you have? were you by chance there on Sat? (blue/white sport nautique?)

I wish, I have a i/o with a tower. I usually try to get out during the week after work, or sat. morning. The weekends after 12:00 the water gets choppy, even with just a few boats. I was out there friday, I left work early to try and get some decent water. Decide on a day and we can meet up at lakemore park.

Im out there a couple times a week whenever i can find at least two people to go, i like 10 mins away and am willing to go all the time. hit me up if you ever want to go or need a second or third.

Snippy, I believe I might live a few doors down from your buddy. I used to get out a little more often, but one of my friends moved a little further away, another got married, so i'm looking for a third to get out more often.

just thought i would throw it out there...i live in berea for the summer and alliance during the school year. I have been looking for places to ride ever since i started college in this area. I was just thinking that. You have the monster tower on the blue/white i/o right? I am looking on trying to go wednesday morning until like noon cause I have to go to my sisters for a cookout. I know 10 is when you can start riding, but I heard that a while back is was 9:30 on part of it. Is this true? anyway let me know if you want to go out weds any of you guys but I only have 2 hours. Oh and the water fall those people put in is freaking amazing.

Man I should have checked the blog I started. I'm off all week and would like to get out and ride Springfield anytime. My boat or yours, I'm 10 mins away and would be more than willing to throw in on Gas, food,cleaning, etc. I see we could easily put a routine group together and ride evenings and weekends.

I was out last Saturday evening 6'ish with my White/Green Four Winns. Crappy water though.

Count me in, I'll be there. I think I know where it is. Don't they have a parking lot right there as well? I think I seen your boat when I was out there last Saturday evening. Cross the fingers that the weather holds out I heard it was suppose to storm.

anyone around akron have a wakesurfer? doesn't seam like anyone in northern ohio wakesurfs, but i use to go out to west branch during the week to wakeboard, but on weekends forget it.

You headed over to the Ohio INT wakeboard competition here at Emerald lake in Akron this weekend? I'm going over after lunch to check it out and get some pulls behind their practice boat. Runs Saturday-Sunday both.

knew nothing about it bro..........hmmmmmmmm our ski teams practices there a lot....will have to check that out...times and etc?.....whenever you wanna go out let me know!

Jared I'm actually from Holmesville. I normally go to Buckhorn. But I'll hit the public lakes every now and then.

Just keeping this thing up top. Hey Jeremy How was that comp at emerald lake? I wish I could have went out to check it out but I am so freakin busy I havent been out since Sat. Water sucked and was only out for like 2 hours then had to bolt. Anyway I I am shot this week and I hope to try and make it out one day this weekend. If your heading up let me know.

the water was bad all weekend, we went out friday and sunday, plus sunday we had jet skiers cutting 5 feet in front of us and following 10 ft behind.

The competition went good. There were (4) guys in the Men's Entro and I had placed 1st. I had a bad run the first day, but did much better the 2nd. It was a blast, great boat, nice water, and a good group of people. You guys should come out to the next one. Anyone want to ride today or tomorrow? Friday-Saturday?

I didn't think I was going to be able to get a crew together at Springfield on Saturday, so I took an offer to board at another lake in the morning and I won't be able to make it. Matt might be interested in going though.

No, headed to Chippewa Lake to ride with Ryan from above. Ryan said to bring whoever so if either you Matt or Mike want to go, were riding starting at 11 so will be leaving around 10 probably. Let me know.

I feel like I havent been to the lake in ages! I think I will be there on Sat. Not sure what time I have to fix my buddies waverunner but when that s done i am going to head up to the lake with my buddy and his wife. If you guys want to come out I should have some room. Agian not sure of the time. I hop to be there by 11 but if this wavrunner gives me probs it may be a little later. oh ya and weather permitting of course.

Unfortunately I'm headed to Pun-N-Bay this weekend and then traveling all next week for work so I won't be out at all. We have been riding quite a bit at Springtucky with Mike and Matt so I'm sure someone might be around.

I'm headed to the Ohio INT wakeboard tournament in Mansfield the first weekend in August 3-4-5. You guys should register and ride in it as well. It was a good time at the last event.

That sounds fun but I will be pulling my boat out of the water and getting it ready for our Houseboat trip in TN. Let me know the next time you go out Ill throw down for gas since my boat will be out of the water. I leave on the 9th and will be back the 18th. Later
