I picked up a new sub for the 'ol vessel and I'm in the middle of installation and have a question about sealed enclosure size. I can build an enclosure that will have a max volume of 1.54 cubic feet. My first design had a volume of 1.46 cubic feet. The question is which one do I go with? I the owners manual for the sub I got it says that sealed enclosure sizing between 1.0 cubic feet and 2.4 cubic feet.

In a sealed enclosure, for the best and balanced sound quality, you typically want to end up with a 'Qtc' (system 'Q' of woofer and enclosure) of around 0.8 +/- 5%. You will need the woofer's Thiele Small parameters to correctly calculate this.
What kind of woofer gives you a 240% displacement range? Are you sure that you interpreted the recommendations correctly?

What kind of power are you going to be feeding the sub?

Jamie,
Kicker builds a molded enclosure for that sub which is in the area of 1.5 cu.ft. internal net after driver displacement. So the 1.54 internal gross enclosure is very close.
