Was out last weekend and went to try a toe 7. Resulted in a broken board bindings and getting knocked out. Needless to say I under rotated.

Perfect example of why wearing a vest that floats you is important.

Glad to hear your melon is okay.

It should be noted that he is wearing a vest, just in case you guys couldn't tell (he's wearing the jersey). Sorry about dropping the camera so dang fast. That fall was so hard I just dropped my hands down to see what was happening outside of the viewfinder.

On a good note...CWB is awesome

I'm not going to start a new thread for it, but their warranty is the best. Already got a new board, and bindings should be on the way. They even let me switch to a 138 transcend. Only complaint is i had to send the bindings back, I would have liked to wear one black 08 and a white 09.

Also in regards to the vest. I wear an A-10 which is defiantly better than nothing.I noticed the other day that my board and bindings provide more flotation,I sink with just the A-10. Lucky I didn't come out of the bindings, and the board was still attached to my left boot. I noticed this when i was riding a slingshot the other day, I sank with the board on and it made it very hard to get out of my bindings(Drivers were on the board).

It should not be that hard to design a comfy vest that floats you to coast guard specs, use a really low density foam. Even and extra couple mm's of thickness to the A-10 would make a huge difference and not add any limit to range of motion.Sorry working on fluid mechanics HW and was in the engineering mindset.

Cliff notes
1)CWB is the best
2)Don't under rotate toe 7's
3)Life vests FTW

well thats good your vest worked out ok. I have an A-10 also and the only thing i really worry about is if it will hold me up enough if anything ever happened like that. But just don't end up face down then huh?

Ouch! Good enough reason not to say "Ahh f-it I'll go for the last 180 anyway"!
