buy a dry suit and suck it up
just kidding, your nearest indoor skate park
or those "Indo" boards are great for balance.

Seriously, hit up gotriver.com and get a drysuit. they will take care of you and extend your season a couple months.

I've done some snowboarding this winter but lately have been at the gym 4 days a week. Looking to get my first ride of the new year this weekend.

Talkin' 'bout cold winters, wasn't this supposed to be a "Mild" one? El Nin'o my butt. It was 9 degrees when I went to work this morning in KS. I work at UPS though and have to be there at about 4:30AM.

i'm definitely ready. i'm researching new bindings before i buy a pair. last year we started the first weekend in april, so i have about 1-1/2 mos. to go!! of course, that doesn't mean i'm giving up the snow sports before june or so ... that's why God put 2 days in every weekend!

Thanks Daniel. That is the stock 05 X-2 wake. Last weekend, I took out the hard tanks and put in two 750lb Fly High's, so it should be bigger and better in the next pic, lol...Unfortunatly, I wont be able to ride until next Monday to try them out.

I've been hitting the gym really hard trying to get ready for the next season. I felt pretty physically inadequate last season, and the first quarter of the season I was sucking wind on a 20 minute set. I'm hoping to be able to get out there this time, and be able to ride for at least 30 minutes without feeling it.

I'm really trying to get my ballast system fixed up though, I have this "more weight=better" complex right now, after riding on a couple pro setups last year.

It is all I can do to distract myself to stay off the water. Seeing all the pics and threads on wakes, tricks, boats, and killer times fans the fire!

Are you serious? 50+ with 50+ air is a perfect starting point...

I'm itching to get back on the water. For now I can just sit around, stare at my new setup, and watch the Book. Too bad I have to wait at least 2 more months for the ice to leave.

i am so excited for the season. jus bought a new setup. boarding is all i think about. i bring my WBM to school and during lectures all i do is read them. they are basically my notebooks. hopefully the air will be warm enough by april. we have a lake that a powerplant uses to cool down the coal so the water is always warm.

Even though you can ride pretty much all year in Florida, it's still not seemingly until it's April and hot again. There is just something about being cold and the aggravation of a wet suit. You don't push as hard as you would if it were hot. I am very much preparing for the actual season to start. It still gets cold in Florida and last night was 32degrees. About early April we will be ready to put it down.

I just back from a session today at the lake and it was off the hook! The temp on the gauge was: air 75 degrees and lake was 62. The wet suit kept me warm enough. This was our first trip of the year. and our first trip without the I/O . Summer is going to be crazy!!!!!!!

I have been running on the treadmill 30 min a day. Then doing stretches with my arm bands. Plus with the snow we have and the only place I get suck is in our ally way so pushing my car out when it gets stuck its helping on the upper body too LOL.

Yeah i got to ride today. The Westcoast has had incredible weather the last couple days. Lake Nacimiento was 71 degree air and 58 degree water and I am sunburnt like a fool. I tfelt so good to ride again, turns out my workouts helped a little but I am rocked right now.

Ready for Ohio winter to be over. Picked up snowboarding to help winter go by but doesn't take the place of the water. Lost 26 pounds since 1-2-07 8 more to reach my goal of 255 I set for hitting Orlando in March. Anyone recomend a drysuit for 6'4 260-270? I usually do fine with wetsuit + 2mm rash guard when everyone else is in drysuits.

Rick, when are you gonna be in Orlando? We will be @ OWC from the 24th-30th

It may be. I was going a week earlier but people bailed until late April. I'm going down on my own to stay with friends down there. Kinda winging it now. It will be that week or the week before. Going back with everyone else in April too.
