I think that's a awesome "Idea" but I wonder if there was/is a better way to do that

There has to be... It's got to drive weird with the bottom portion of the mount hanging that low.

maybe its a new take on a wedge?!? I like the idea of a submerged platform to hang out on. sounds kinda cool but it looks bad hanging off the platform

jump seat behind the captain looks a little tall as well

Holy ideas batman... this could cause excessive alcohol intake while on the water. The craigslist post is kinda janky, but that could really help add a few good times on the swim platform. I want one!

I wonder if you could do a "double decker" platform, with one stacked ontop of the other, then slide one out with support brackets that allow it to stay upright. Kind of along the same lines as a hidden cuttingboard under the countertop in the kitchen, but then lowers with brackets to help support it. Might save space and prevent those really low sagging brackets that could catch some drag while the boat is moving... hmm..

Cool idea but with the supports hanging below waterline it would have to throw off the wake. It also looks like it would be hard to put on a board or ski to get to water. This idea would work great on the early to mid 90s mastercrafts and nautiques with integrated platforms.

It's specifically designed to keep guests from asking to surf.

I thought at first that it might just be a funny camera angle but it looks like they for sure sit below the running surface of the boat and must throw up a spray and wash out any chance at having a good wake. Would be curious to see pictures of it moving though.

Also, the stance on that board is terrifying but I do like the "wake skates"

The tough the the platform deploying while towing someone is scary. Imagine the debris field.

That picture I posted is from a cobalt. They have hydraulic drop swim platforms too, and they filed a patent infringement lawsuit against SeaRay. The swim platforms from these boats sit higher off the water than a ski boat platform at water level or below if you have some ballast filled. I bet the hardware from the Cobalt or SeaRay would hang in the water underway and disrupt the wake, especially at surf speed and attitude. It's a cool idea though.

Just painting the brackets black would help it blend a little better imo.
