Forget the head unit I guess. Now what do I need besides speakers if I get the WS-420?

Do I need to get an amp or eq?

I did the same thing on my fishing boat. I am running 4 6.5 Kicker in boat speakers and an 8" sub off a 900 watt Sony amp and an Ipod jack. The big thing was I installed a JL Audio line driver that gives me better line voltage to the amp and a volume knob on the dash so i dont have to keep reaching for the pod with wet salty fingers.
Line driver was like 65 bucks.
