Definitely looks like SC has listened to some feedback from the customer and addressed it in this redesign. If you look closely at the end of the video you can see some controls on the steering wheel. That may be pretty cool if that is in fact what those are. An industry first???? ha

Or by the time the release date comes nobody cares about the over hype and even talks about it. (See g23+25 threads, 25lsv thread, craz thread as examples of this) More people would talk about it if they just released the whole thing and there were talking points you could elaborate on in a forum. . The whole "stick around while we show you how little has changed and reveal less shadows in every new picture approach doesn't seem to work. . With Surfgate it worked and people actually talked about it- but it was entirely new and never seen before. Now we all know a surf system and design is coming. Show us something we haven't seen.

Some pics dropped from on supra's twitter and instagram. It looks like they really beefed the boat up.

Man... I am loving my SC... Now they have to tempt me with this... I have heard awesome things about this. Maybe I will finally fall to the pickle fork craze....
Is that a slot for the garbage can to throw garbage away? I am hoping so... We removed our cupholder last year to do the same thing.... Steering wheel controls??? Awesome.... It's the small things...

Steering wheels controls are one thing I would LOVE to have on the boat... such a simple little thing I've gotten accustom to in a car that I wish was in the boat.

Oh they are coming!!!!

That wake looks really clean and big. Not sure of the setup but I'm sure it's more than enough for a beginner like me. I also heard its super clean at low speeds just like a BU.

Not for us peasants in older boats. It would be nice to have a aftermarket wheel I could add with a Perfect Pass +/- tie in, and stereo controls.... unless thats what you're talking about then, YAY!

It is super clean at low speeds. Impressive even with ballast empty.

Hey Davez71 your boat is the best looking X23 I've seen, don't get so defensive on here it's only going to attract more attention and negative comments. Mastercraft boats are awesome, just not for everyone. Take it easy.

Wow that's one sexy boat. I love the dash and the surf/skate storage is saweet! Will they have a traditional nose version as well?
Old     (zimme)      Join Date: Feb 2013       08-03-2015, 6:46 AM Reply
Probably not. The SA has always been pickle fork. The SC or SG would be the traditional bow options.

Wake looks good. Front of the boat is a little bloated looking. I think they've got a little ways to go to catch up with Malibu's touchscreen and dash. Looks good though.

I personally dont like the full touch screen dash, I think supra blends traditional gauges with touch controls perfectly

Looks pretty solid, though who needs a camera hooked into dash though? what a waste of time and money...

I like a camera to look back at the rider. I think it will be like a back up camera on trucks at first nobody like them but now they are standard options.

Plus now there is no need for a bulky mirror blocking your forward facing view.

Tige is gonna sue... ASR had the board storage in the back first.

On a serious note, it looks like Supra is stepping it up. I'm not real sure about the transom camera.. Neat idea, but how practical is it really? I heard it's got a power captain's chair?!
Old     (Rusty)      Join Date: Mar 2014       08-03-2015, 7:50 AM Reply
They've had the captain's chair for like 2-3 years now. They just like reminding people that everyone is copying them now
Old     (zimme)      Join Date: Feb 2013       08-03-2015, 7:51 AM Reply
Transom camera might be more useful than you think. Anymore with these deep boats with high transoms, you really can't see a surfer sitting back there getting ready. Might be helpful for the driver being able to see rider position. For a wakeboarder, it's fairly useless. Also, I don't think the idea is to watch the rider exclusively through the vision screen. A driver looking only at his screen is going to end up on the wrong side of their lake's dam if they keep staring at the screen.

Would be a cool feature if you could record and export from the transom cam. Is this possible?

Steering wheel controls: Great addition. Don't know what took so long.

Boat looks sharp!

I wonder if the house costs less..... Surf storage needs to be the new standard racks and boards don't get along very well
Old     (rickt)      Join Date: May 2002       08-03-2015, 11:43 AM Reply
Just an FYI,

While the camera is functional for the viewing of riders, it's focus is also on safety, as the camera automatically engages as the boat is placed in reverse. Hard area to see as the boats have continued to get deeper and deeper.

I really like the new SA! One major area they missed out on though is a rear walk thru! I love the way Nautique as done its cabin to swim platform designs in the G and new 210,230's. I guess though with the surf storage that wouldn't work.

Dtb, thank u,look forward to it.. I went to the pwt and I made the cut in the lil over view thing from wakeboard magazine. ..kinda cool. It was when I was on the riders dock waiting to take a turn in the tow boat. I got to ride in it on men's final, and heat. That was very cool

Chris, I saw the boat this morning at the plant but steering wheel didn't have cover on it so I did get any pics. It's an awesome design though. I should take delivery next week and I'll get you pics. Sorry didn't want to post pics with wires coming out. Boat is better in person than you can imagine. It's a beast.

Supra has a great product on their hands and will sell a ton of these I think. The boat was really impressive tome in person, now I just need to check the wake.

The steering wheel controls are a must have and looks great too. It controls radio (track, volume, play and pause) and on the other side it controls camera and the Swell system)
The bow in this thing is massive and every bit as big as a G23. The wife and kids will love it.
The new JL system is nicely done, but I'm not sold on the towers and 10" sub. (I only ordered inboats for mine)
The new grab handles are a nice upgrade over years past and the billet accents are a little darker which is a nice touch.
The Swell 2.0 tabs look to be twice as big as the original. The new mounting system is very well done too.
It has some new LED lights in different spots which gives it a cool look too.

I'll be interested to hear how people like the steering wheel controls in the real world. I've just recently tried using an aftermarket bluetooth steering wheel remote to control my phone on the boat. The remote works great, BUT you steer the boat a whole lot more than you steer a car (like lock to lock all the time on rider pickups, etc). I was surprised that the remote was in the wrong place a LOT of the time.

It would make more sense to me if the supra wheel had two sets of controls on the wheel that were redundant. But that doesn't sound like what they've done.

Like I said, I'm curious to hear what others think of the functionality once it's out in the wild.
