Looking to use 4x 8 sheets of pvc instead of plywood for my floor. Anyone know if it would be strong enough? They are costly but by the time you buy the ply and glass it the costs would be close. I love getting the boat out for the season only to get punched in the face with a stringer job. I cant wait till I can get a newer boat.

I used to work in an architectual millwork that specialized in cellular pvc fab. The strength will depend on the thickness you use and how far apart the supports are. 3/4" would probably be fine but they make sheets in 1" thickness too. 1" is VERY stout and very heavy. May be overkill... If you need to seam it together - use plumbers pvc glue. It will form a weld.

Only problem with PVC sheet is the price 1/2" 4X8 is about $120 each, 3/4" is about $250 and 1" can get up over $450 plus shipping.

1" is strong there is no doubt about it.
