I don't know what vest to get. I have been looking at the Oneill outlaw women's competition vest. I know I want something non cg approved and a competition vest. Anybody know any good ones?
I used to have an outlaw and loved it. It actually blew away on a windy day at the river. Haven't replaced it yet, but I am thinking of the Oneill Law, because it is USCG approved.
If you want a vest that is coast guard approved offers great support and very comfortable check out the Siren by Oneil, I picked my up for about $150 and I'd use nothing else ... why on earth are you gals riding NONCGA jackets?
Teri - you asked why NONCGA...because of room and flexibility in a drysuit. Frankly there is so much air in the drysuit, I float without any vest on.
I would not wear a NONCGA without a drysuit though. They may not float you when you are completely dead weight in the water and that is what you need in case of an emergency.
Does that make sense? People fight me on this all the time. I am just giving my personal example, it is not for everyone and I am not saying that everyone should ride NONCGA.
The outlaw is awesome, however Jet Pilot has a ncga that is a side entry, really light. Good vest. I have a long torso so it doenst work out to hot for me, but depending on your shape, it might for you. A lot of top girls are riding with them now
