What new tricks do you think we'll see next year out of the top three females? I'm guessing Dallas will commit to the rest of the Raley based tricks since she pulled out the Hoochies this year. I think a few more of the women will have to get some new moves just to be in the running. I hope one of them can start pulling 5's consistently in their contest runs, too. Would it also be too much to hope for that they all practice double ups this winter so that they can get them at the tour stops?

i don't know. i hope that some of the girls will really get down some off axis 3's. i love watching girls get real spinny on their board. it's just a nice change from the inverts. and plus, you can see some individual style in spins.

quite a few of them can do 5's. in fact, emily has been doing off-axis 5's for what, 2 years now? that said, i don't think the girl's tour is going to last much longer.

yeah, emily has been doing off axis, but she's pretty much the only one whose got them down cold. umali--with an encouraging attitude like that, i'm sure it won't last much longer. so quit bringing down the girls and just give them props for what they're doing right now. i guess i just hope that we see a few new riders come out of the woodworks. not just the same 5 that we've always watched.

les, i didn't mean to have a negative attitude. i only meant to imply that it doesn't matter what sick tricks the girls are pulling. the pro tour doesn't give them enough credit. take a look at this year, compared to past years...significantly less tourneys for the girls, right? please forgive me if i came off as putting the girls down. if anything, i was putting the pro tour down for not showcasing the girls more.

I don't watch many of the pros unfortunately, I wish I did. But why do the females not compete against the guys? Aren't some of the females competitive with the guys? Just wondering. Please educate me on the pro tour stuff.

Was Dallas pulling Hoochies too? I saw her doing OHH. Is she doing both? I would like to see her bust out with a Batwing. (Message edited by jarrod on October 29, 2004)

Liz, Joe is just tired of getting beat up by the guys, so he came on here looking for an easy target! Lol! Dallas has a batwing and there are a lot of girls including Amber Wing, Melissa Marquardt, Emily Copeland and Dallas that throw off axis spins very consistently now. A lot of the girls have stepped it up these last few years. But Joe has a point. Attendance is down and both the Pro Tour and Vans Series are struggling a bit. There are a lot of rumour's floating around about one or both shutting down. As a rider I would like to see both tours turn the corner and be successful. But there are a lot of hurdle's and a lot depends on us. So this year stop making excuses and get out to a stop and show your support. Steven

BSFlower, while the girls are ripping, they don't really compete at the level of pro men. A good womens run consists of a 5, whereas a good men's run has a few 7's and perhaps a 9. I'd really like to see the ladies start hitting some of the really tech. stuff, like mobes. Just keep watching Dallas, she's down to progress.
