My girlfriend and i just started wakesurfing and i am trying to find a good board for both of us. I rode a hyperlite landlock last weekend and hated it. Previously i had riden a hyperlite broadcast 5' 6" and liked it quite a bit... but i dont really know what to look for. I really want to find a board that will be comfotable for my girlfriend too tho. I'm 6' and she is 5'8" if that matters. I would like to find a used board too or at least stay under $300.

Thanks!

We use the broadcast 4'9" and it rocks. It’s a totally different board to the 5'6" broadcast (my GF hated that board).

We have 100 pound girls through 280 pounds guys riding it regularly and they all have no issue to ride without the handle.

For rank beginners its a tad difficult, but normally anyone can at least stand up and start to ride with the handle. They soon progress and find it no worries.

For the more advanced riders, you can remove the middle fin and it loosens right up. I have guys pulling shovs, verials and all sorts of advanced stuff with it.

A good all round board for everyone IMO. I know there have been a couple of threads reflecting these same comments recently, try a search for more info perhaps...

Jon-
I use the LF Venture 5'0". I'm 6'1" and 185lbs. My wife's 5'3" and 120 lbs. Great board.

i'd go with the inland surfer blue board. it really nice and smooth ride, easy to learn on but you can still do huge ollies, 360's, slides ect... I've taught many people to ride on that board but i love it too as it has a surfboard feel compared to all the other boards out there. i think the website is www.inlandsurfer.com.

Try out the Coex, those shorter boards are so much fun. I'm 6'1" and float between 180 and 210lbs and had no problem riding it at all.
