A long time ago you posted some shots of a dude getting ready to launch off a waist high monster double up as a teaser shot. Where's the rest of that? I don't remember seeing anything else...

I think it was a big hoochie by Clin wasn't it?

Yeah it was a Hoochie Glide By Colin Ryan. I will have Ryan Taylor the Guy who shot that pic post up the rest of the sequence. It was insanely big! One of those hits where you go HOLY %#$* OH MY %)#$**( GOD!!!!!! He actually went out of the Mirror, I have only seen that happen a few times. We got it on film too, Kyle Chattin shot it on 16mm, we should have that footage out soon.

one of the few shots of a raley type trick where the rider doesn't make a terrible face...thats talent

Wow that is insane. Glad to finally see the rest of the sequence. Thanks for posting it Ryan.
Old     (wakesurf12)      Join Date: Jun 2003       04-07-2008, 1:42 PM Reply
Here is the 9. I want everyone to take note of the metadata of the last image in the hoochie and the first image of the nine. Less than two minutes apart. It takes about that long to drive a second double up so you know the tricks were back to back.

at first glance i got to the third i thought he was at his peak and fully extended. the 4th pic made me happy
Old     (wakerider111)      Join Date: Jul 2006       04-07-2008, 2:06 PM Reply
this is a quick paste, but i am sure it is not quite true, being as camera angles were different and such... i even had to size one of the pics (the one in the air... so he is most likely even higher) smaller than the other to retain the rider's size through the 2 step sequence

I wish that you could see that he lands about 30 feet in the flats, he peaked way over the second wake.

Damn lucky to get to ride with colin everyday!

Sinko,

Thanks that was a super fun shoot. Ryan Taylors got some great vision. Colin Hates that shot, he ate it so hard after that. I was like WTF happend man you never crash on those, he was like "Oh I dont know, Its dark, you sprayed me in the face, you know nothing out of the ordinary." It was awsome. That was actually the last shot in the whole shoot.

Yeah that last shot was well composed. I was wondering if the mid-air shower messed him up.

3rd Picture = Crow Mobe

Andy, you forgot to add that it was the end of the season in Minnesota and it was F'N COLD!!!!!!!!! I thought Colin was going to come at me after that last one. Luckily the hypothermia had set in by then. ;-)

Also, it didn't help that my buddy holding my flash on the tube cant swim. That made things a bit interesting.

Ryan Taylor you need to grow out a super fierce beard for this summer.....

Simon, I think you may have me mistaken with someone else. Colin is the one with the beard. I am the one with the dreads.

Man those have to be some of the raddest photos I've ever seen. It's so cool the way you've captured the light in those night shots.

off topic, but have you (andy) got your hands on the local yet. just curious. It'd be cool to see some pics and comments about it like you did with the R-5

here's is something that i put together pretty quickly at work, and tried to not let my boss catch me. it was hard to get every thing to pull together especially, at the end...it starts to really zoom in. maybe some one can further enhance it?

colin

but you can really get a perspective of just how big this trick is.

Yeah man! Thats sweet! I was actually zooming out as he was getting closer because he was starting to leave frame. It really goes to show you how close to the chase boat he got. I honestly for a split second thought I was going to get landed on. BUt yeah, thats a big hoochie!

Now I know that everyone knows Colin is the man when it comes to blasting off dubs! That hoochie is sick, but lets not for get he is nothing without the best double up driver in Minnesota.
