Just wondering what people's opinions are on cutting the back down to the ankle on the system bindings and what it's like riding with and without the back plate ?

Cheers!

I rode with my systems both full and then cut down and prefer them cut down. The highbacks limited me a lot and ultimately I get a noticeably greater amount of flex from my boots. Only problem really is that warrantying them may be interesting and my boots are a little eaten up from rubbing on the cut down plastic

the 2016 gear will have removable high backs, so that must mean something.

+1 what jmaxymek said.

2016 isn't a removable highback, they're selling a highback chassis and a lowback chassis
