I know there are a lot of factors, but is there a rough estimate of how many hours would be about the same as 100k miles on a car.

California's average is 100 hours a year.

I estimate 50 hours equals 3000 miles. I would say 1500.

i'd say roughly 500-600..... we get a new boat every 300 hours (o-town watersports) and give them back to nautique and they still make money on them........

A rule of thumb I have always used is 100 hours is equal to 10,000 miles

what does it matter compared to how well the hours were used?

Ive seen boats with 1600 hours on them run way cleaner than some boats with 300....its all in the way they are cared for.

Any well cared for boat will run damn near forever.

Unless its "blah" brand cuz "blah" brand sucks cuz my friend's neighbor's sister's dog told me so.

Seriously most boats now use the same core engine, its just the accesories that you have to look out for so to answer the question in my opinion hours are only important if you know how they we put on.
