Absolute vs. Transcend advice

I currently ride an '04 141 Absolute and would like to know how that compares to the '05 138 Transcend. Has anyone ridden both? I don't have the luxury of a demo but the 141 feels a little large for me at 165lbs. Any thoughts? Thanks.

The transcend is way slower. To go from your absolute to that would take some getting used to. maybe try the 135 absolute

Randy, I weigh 160 pounds and ride the Absolute Platnum 135. I would try the 135 before rding the Transcend. If your local, I have an '05 you can try out.

Thanks Tim but I'm not local. Used to ride an '04 134 Absolute and started living the good life and jumped up to 185lbs. That's why I went up. Now I'm back down to 165lbs. Should have kept both. Maybe I can find a deal.

Randy, if you liked the '04, I believe the Flame is the '04 absolute mold.

Hey Randy, I ride with Tim sometimes, I ride the platinum AND the transcend. I am getting rid of the platinum and buying the transcend platinum. I like the predictability of the transcend...but it all comes down to personal preference. You have to ride them both. Lighter folks seem to like the pop on the absolute better than the transcend, but the transcend lands a little softer and is a little wider. They both take some getting used to, and they ride differently (that is why I am selling the absolute).
