Hey there guys. Ive been riding behind a little ski boat for a few years now and have upgraded to a boat that will make a bigger wake. I have been clearing the wake now pretty easily and was wondering what tricks i should try to learn this season?

Clear the wake from both sides? If not, you next trick is a toeside wake to wake. If so, your next moves are HS and TS frontside 180s. Learn to grab and poke your airs. Grab your 180s.

You can spend a summer beating yourself up learning a backroll or tantrum but in a lot of cases that's all people have. Any rider will benefit so much from learning and mastering the basics. It's hard to make yourself go back and do it after the fact.

And when you do all this first, I promise you in a summer or two when you start clicking some inverts, your progression will just skyrocket if you have this solid base. Every invert becomes a "whatever" to revert super fast. You'll take these moves to switch just weeks after learning them regular.

Take it from someone who spent way too many summer with just a backroll, TS 3, scarecrow, and tantrum. I went back at age 26 and focused on the fundamentals I skipped. The summer that followed had me adding new tricks almost weekly for a while, in addition to just making my riding look better overall and going bigger.
