I've asked this question before but only for Norcal. I have a tenative list for Norcal & Socal but I know there are more riders in the both area's that I am not aware of. All input is greatly appreciated!

the cen-cal guys have been accounted for. Well at least a couple of them.

SoCal M.O.B:
Women I know of for Socal, Melissa M. & Gretchen H.
Norcal Women... Shelby Kantar & Hoffman Sisters

Any input on more girls would be good.

Danni Petritis and Andrea Emsinger. They are both Nor Cal ladies that kill it. Who is on the list of men riders from both Nor Cal and So Cal? How many rides, what divisions and what is the format?

So here is a quick run down. Norcal vs. Socal Contest at Carlsbad Lagoon in Socal, Sept 27-28th (this date may change). Top 20 from both sides (Central Cal Riders will be included). The riders are by invite and there will be an alternate list as well, just in case riders can't ride. I have a list but don't want to put it out yet until things are set in stone. You can probably guess who most of the riders will be from both sides. I am looking to get a Norcal Team Captain and a Socal Team Captain. These individuals don't have to be the actual riders but must have good relationships with the riders in the area represented.

The contest will consist of rails, du's and possibly runs (depends if the run can be seen by spectators). Each team will have it's riders that can ride rails better or hit du's better. It is up to the captain to decide who will ride what. Some can do both... There will be individual money winners for the du and rail and then the overall team winner which will take home a big ugly trophy and some serious bragging rights until the following year. Remember, this is just the first contest of it's kind. Every year it will get better with more money, prizes, etc. I am looking forward to this and hope that everyone is stoked on this.

I am sure there will be a lot of suggestions, comments and questions. Please feel free to let loose. I am totally open to ideas to make it better. Thanks!

Arun- the September 27-28 date is unfortunate. That is the date of our final WWA Villa Lagos weekend of the season. This date has been published since March. We hope to draw a lot of the top NorCal (and SoCal for that matter) riders to our tournament. I hope the date can be changed. For NorCal riders- don't forget Chris Dykmans and Dan Bright.

I would think that this being Nor-Cal vs. So-Cal that instead of juding a contest run an expression session or freeride style portion would be better than a technical behind the boat run...

something to show off that very distinct west coast flavor that we all know and like to watch.

Peter T: Ah yes, I believe Chuck was telling me about that too. The date can be changed and likely will be due to WWA. I don't want to conflict with any events.

jr: that's a good idea

grant: the answer is...yes!

I think the Delta boys definitely have an advantage (since the water is always butter!), but Chris Williams and Ricky G. ain't no slouches...Also, what about Kyle Murphy is he still in So. Cal?

As for the No Cal boys...Schwenne, Sammons, Carroll and Dykmans are all contenders! If they are on their game...it's gonna be tough.

It'll definitely be cool to see the best of Cali bustin' out!!! Odds definitely favor the North though.

I would have to see who is actually competing before I wager a bet.
Although Randall, Ricky G, Kyle Murphy, Melissa, Gretchen, and Erica would match up pretty well with the top 3 guys and gals from NorCal.

and dont be a traitor Joe! you live in SoCal now!
