Hey, quick question for anyone from the New England/Northeast area. When do people break out their boats and start riding? Where do people ride around the Boston area?

not from new england any more, but i used to start riding the first week of may with a wet suit. i used to live on cape cod. not too many people riding there. may be more now. there was only like 3 lakes you could launch on. i think there is some people that ride down in plymouth. try to get into the int league. you can meet a lot of other riders there.

I'm in PA, usually start riding anytime between mid March and early April with drysuits down here, but it is usually a little colder up there. I'd bet early April to mid April at the earliest, depending on how the winter goes. This winter has been pretty mild so maybe earlier if you're lucky.

Here in NH/Maine it's the last week of April, unless it is still cold. I've never had a wetsuit.

We were out a couple weeks ago. A friend with a boat in his heated garage helps. He and another friend on an 84 month continous stint helps too.

Virtually any temp is ok with a drysuit (and enough cloths underneath!!). As long as the water is still liquid!!

I'm in conneaut, ohio on lake erie. Probably wont but the boat in untill the end of april or beginning of may and it will still be like 50 water temp. Is a wetsuit good enough for 50? like comfortable or still too cold.

Hey, I don't live on a lake unfortuantely, but trailer to Candlewood Lake and Lilinonah all the time. Our friends have a house on Lili, so if they're there, we're there, otherwise we'll be on candlewood. Hopefully we'll be first in line to get the boat summerized about mid-March and then try to get at least one or two runs in before March runs out.

Patrick, where on the lake are you? Or maybe the better question is which Malibu is yours?

I'm the guy skyskiing behind the blue/black Nautique.

All I know is Pocono Point Marina down by the Lattins Cove launch, so I'm assuming your in that area? Unfortunately we try to avoid that area, our prop has taken enough from that launch!

No, my family has a place in Westchester, so trailer up as much as we can. And I know exactly where you're talking about.

I know of East Coast Flight Craft, and I know of Scott, but don't know where it is or him personally. But you can't beat a tight relationship with all the dudes at Candlewood East!

You don't need to apologize, we all make mistakes in life.

Absolutely. I really have to start to get to know people on the lake so when I'm up there alone on the boat I can still get a pull. We'll drive by one weekend morning or afternoon.
