I have a couple of Jet Pilot vests that don't seem to hold myself or my sons up after a fall. We are doubling them up, I have to swim with my arms to keep my head out of the water when wearing only one. I am wondering if anyone can recommend a vest that is known to be extra buoyant. You see we are very new to this sport and fall quit a lot. A better vest would give me more confidence. I am 5'11" 190 lbs. Thanks

I assume you're wearing comp vests then which are really only to help with impact. If you want to float, buy a CGA vest. Most brands have CGA vests now that are very comfortable and not restrictive.

I use a Ronix One CGA vest. It floats me just fine. I don't notice any restrictions in movement or anything. Its comfortable and dries quickly. I like it !!

A barefoot wetsuit offers protection from falls warmth and you float like a cork.

I have the oneill techno comp vest and it floats me pretty well. But I wouldn't want to be knocked out in it.
As well as a rockstar comp vest by body glove on the boat, that vest is just about as buoyant as a normal vest.

Your probably using a comp vest. Comp vest have minimal flotation. Get a Coast Guard Approved vest. (CGA)
