I have them in all the cup holders, exchanged out the rope lights for them and put them above the footwell in the cockpit I took out the stock lights and replaced them also. I also have a few underwater transom lights across the back but in blue.

Are most LEDs plug and play into a standard lighting setup or do you need some sort of voltage converter? What kind and size wire are you running? I assume there is a limit to how many you can run off one stock switch.

I have 21 total Leds run off the stock switch. I also replaced the original interiors with LED's and it made it all match. I have them on the sides to light up the floor, and the cupholders and the bow. We have 2 underwater LED's too.

They're pretty much plug and play and can be strung along off one switch without much worry as they draw so little amps. All of mine are off of my interior switch as well and wired with 16 guage.

Loving the LED's in the coolers, I may have to do that one... Do you guys have them on a switch so they only come on when it's open or do they stay on all the time? I would think you could leave them on all the time since they don't produce much heat.

You could use a low amp mini plunger switch similar to what car alarms use to turn them on in the cooler or compartments.

Aaron, yeah you can just leave them on all the time but I did (my buddy) a micro switch to turn them on and off. I did a small thread on it a while back. It's pretty damn cool!

Hey LED gurus... what are you using to light up the wraparound area in a vdrive? I've got my gunnels/cupholders/storage areas/drivers footwell all lit, but can't find anything good to install to make the main area glow.

Something like this idea:

http://superbrightleds.com/specs/alm-x3.htm

that mounts facing down, giving the carpet a glow. These would work, but I've tried them and they have more of a spotlight effect (3 red dots rather than a soft glow)

Any ideas?

Hey Stuey the link you posted, I have a few of those mounts in my truck and boat.. they do not really as well as I thought. On superbrightleds.com there are capsulated strand that work amazing they are waterproof and flexibale and light up perfect.. I have 200 on swimstep and it works pretty well... This winter i was gunna get more and wrap my seat base.. should look pretty good. Im likin the idea of doin the cooler.. that may be next... does anyone have any leds on the trailer (besides standard lights) or in their trucks... I just put white leds under my bed rails on a switch so when you open the bed cover they light up.. and its damn bright!

Hey look guys a whole post without using the word SICK!! haha keep your ideas coming!
