I have a 07 moomba outback v with the 325 indmar assault. It has the oil drain hose at the bottom of the pan. After the engine is warmed up and I take the cap off the oil drain hose is the oil suppose to just flow out because it's not with mine. I bought an extractor which I put in the oil drain hose and pumped it out, but it took forever. Anyone ever have this problem or any suggestions of what I might be doing wrong. Thanks.

Yeah it won't really drain out on it's own. It will but it takes quite a while. What type of extractor do you have? Taking the oil fill cap off the valve cover to provide a vent for the pan will help too.

I bought a cheap extractor from WestMarine that hooks up to my battery. It takes about 15-20 minutes to get all 5.5 qts out. There's not much else you can do about it besides wait. I had a buddy that bought a $200 extractor and still took about the same amount of time. If anyone has a better method they would like to share, it would be greatly appreciated.

The Oil Boy/Tempo pumps suck it out inside 3-5 minutes even cold!

^^ Yep I don't even run the boat to warm oil with the Oil Boy any more. I get more out if I don't run it too.

I bought the Moeller oil pump from WestMarine. I think it's the same one as the Oil Boy. It works great. With the oil fill cap open, I hook the pump up to the oil drain hose and can extract the oil in under 10 min with a cold engine.
This is the pump I bought:

Yup make sure you remove the oil cap and I also just break the seal on the dip stick. I add about 2 quarts after its empty and suck out the 2 new quarts just ti try and get the residue out as well. Maybe over kill, but I usually have some oils left over anyways so why not.

I just use a manual hand pump after its warmed. 2-3min.
